Matt Pettijohn served in the U.S. Army from 2001 to 2021, working as a Korean cryptologic linguist, signals intelligence analyst, operations manager, training manager, and senior enlisted leader. His work required clear reporting, disciplined follow-up, and careful stewardship of people and mission-critical resources.
His leadership experience includes mentoring more than 25 personnel, managing training readiness for an organization of more than 60, and directing an eight-person team supporting continuous operations. He also helped develop training delivered to more than 70 instructors and curriculum developers and managed accountability for a $10 million equipment platform.
Since 2021, Matt has supported Army and Department of Defense users through the Army Enterprise Service Desk–Worldwide. His Tier 1 and Tier 2 experience includes ServiceNow incident management, identity and account support, Microsoft 365, endpoint compliance, remote-access troubleshooting, technical mentoring, and knowledge-management support.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College, with Korean and Mandarin Chinese focus areas. His professional background includes CompTIA Security+ CE, ITIL 4 Foundation, and advanced Army leadership and instructor development.
The experience above was gained before Cairn’s formation. It is attributed to Matt and is separate from Cairn’s corporate past performance.
